Sephora Color Lip Last Lipstick – Review

During my hunt for long-lasting lipsticks, I bought quite a lot of them from different brands to see how they are and if they really last long as per the claims. One of those purchases was the Color Lip Last Lipstick from Sephora.

I also got very good reviews about this lipstick from a lot of my friends and hence was really looking forward to see how this one fares.

So here you go with all the details you need to know about this lipstick 🙂

About the Color Lip Last Lipstick:

A radiant lipstick that lasts up to 10 hours with an incredibly comfortable feel.
This lipstick features a two-in-one formula that combines intense pigments with water-resistant polymers to lock in color and provide comfortable wear for up to 10 hours. The high-coverage pigments distribute intense color, while conditioning agents like rose hip oil and vitamin B leave lips feeling conditioned and protected.

Packaging:

This lipstick comes in a sleek tube which is handy and easy to carry in a bag. One end of the lipstick displays the shade of the lipstick.

Variants/ shades:

The Color Lip Last Lipstick is available in 3 types of finishes i.e. Matte, Metallic and Shimmer. Each of these types have different options available with regards to the shades. The matte one is available in 20 beautiful colors, the shimmer one is available in 5 shades and the metallic one has 1 shade as of now.

Price:

The Color Lip Last lipstick is priced at $14

My experience:

Since I generally look for brighter shades in long-lasting lip colors, I purchased the shade ‘All you need is red’ from the Matte collection. This is a deep coral red color which is perfect for evenings and occassions when you want to keep the other makeup subtle and make the lip color pop.

Firstly, I really like the sleek tube of this lipstick which is color coded (on one end). The color (All you need is red) is a bright one and looks great on fair to medium skin tone (I loved this color the moment I saw it and I am not at all kidding). The texture of the lipstick is smooth and it feels very light when we apply. The pigmentation is really great. Just one swipe is enough to add the right amount of color to the lips.

Unlike many other matte lipsticks, this lipstick does not make the lips feel dry and flaky which is something I really found interesting.

Also, as per the claims, this lipstick does last for a really really long time (Yay). Not exaggerating, but I have literally been eating, drinking over and over again and still even when I come back home after no matter how many hours, I always found the lipstick to be as it is and perfectly beautifying the lips 🙂 🙂 . I have even tried washing it off and rubbing it, but this lipstick does resist alllll of this.

And off course, since this lipstick is really very long lasting, a lip makeup remover is a must to wipe it off. If you don’t have that you can also use baby oil or olive oil to remove the lipstick.

The lipstick is moderately priced. It is not very cheap and not too expensive as well. Considering the quality and results, it is totally worth the price.

So overall, I am very happy to have found this lipstick. With this I was able to achieve my (so-called) goal of finding a long-lasting lipstick 😉 . I totally recommend this lipstick to everyone. If you are a fan of long-lasting matte lipsticks, this one is surely a must-have. Also, the variety of shades available in this one is amazing. I am surely soon going to buy some more shades of this lipstick.

Rating:
